On Wednesday, February 14, we welcomed a visitor to our center from The Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration, a humanitarian bureau of the U.S. State Department. This visit was organized by UNICEF. The goal was to obtain a firsthand insight into the situations of Ukrainian refugees residing in the Czech Republic and interact with refugee children and adolescents to understand their needs, challenges and aspirations. We had the opportunity to demonstrate the real impact of the UNICEF integrated programming in responding to the refugee crisis in the Czech Republic with the focus on the most vulnerable children, adolescents and their families.
