A summary:
The project aims to achieve a positive change on the part of teachers as well as on the part of pupils. Project activities will enhance the competence of education staff including students preparing for the teaching profession in the area of teaching pupils with insufficient knowledge of the language of instruction. They will also support pupils with insufficient knowledge of the language of instruction and increase their language skills necessary for successful study at a Czech school.
Foreign pupils, or Czech citizens who have provably similar integration needs as foreigners, are offered:
- an individual and tandem Czech course for children
- a group Czech course during the summer holiday
- individual tutoring of school subjects
Within the framework of the support, bilingual tandem teaching or a combination of teaching by teachers of special subjects and Czech language, or Czech language teachers and special educators, can be used.
Teachers and students preparing for the teaching profession are offered training and methodological support in the field of teaching pupils with insufficient knowledge of the language of instruction.
