Financing: From the State Budget of the Czech Republic – “System of calls for expenditure implemented within the framework of municipal projects to support the integration of temporary protection holders at the local level in 2023” financed by the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic and co-financed by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
The target group of the project are holders of temporary protection and other legally residing foreigners from third countries.
The aim of the sub-project is to provide comprehensive services to foreigners from third countries and their integration into Czech society. The aim is not only to provide basic information about the system of the Czech Republic to persons with temporary protection, but also to help with the language barrier. Overcoming the language barrier between the target group and the employees of authorities and institutions is an important part of the project.
Intercultural assistants will provide basic counselling and then mediate contact to follow-up services, provide assistance, interpretation, and accompaniment during meetings with authorities (Municipal Office, Labour Office, child-protective services, etc.), schools, doctors, employers and other institutions. If necessary, they will help with the translation of information materials.
The event is organized as a part of a project for the integration of temporary protection holders co-financed by the Czech Ministry of the Interior and UNHCR.
