Housing support for temporary protection holders in the Ústí Region

Place of realization: Ústí nad Labem region
Implementer: The Counselling Centre for Integration
Duration: 1. 6. 2024 – 31. 12. 2025
Financing: By the European Union under the operacional programme of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund and the budget of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic.

The target group of the project are holders of temporary protection in the Ústí nad Labem Region who are staying long-term in mass accommodation facilities of temporary emergency accommodation registered in the HUMPO system (valid only for persons accommodated before 31 December 2023).

The project focuses on the issue of finding housing for temporary protection holders. It addresses the problems of lack of information and the often confusing situation on the real estate market in the housing sector in the Czech Republic, the initial higher costs (such as security deposits, commissions or rent in advance) associated with the transition from collective accommodation to private/commercial housing.

The aim of the project is to provide one-time financial support, assistance and counselling to persons with temporary protection in their transition to private accommodation. The possibility of suitable housing that they will be able to continue to maintain will also enable them to better integrate into society and participate in social and economic life.

In addition to providing direct support, the project also focuses on mapping the situation of the target group. If necessary, the employees will provide assistance with translation of texts and interpretation in communication with property owners, real estate agencies and other institutions.
