Adaptation and Integration Courses

These courses are designed to help you quickly and effectively adapt to Czech society. They will introduce you to basic information about the Czech Republic, as well as your fundamental rights and obligations.

Most non-EU foreigners who have been issued a long-term or permanent residence permit in the Czech Republic after January 1, 2021, are required to complete an adaptation and integration course. The course must be completed within one year of receiving your residence permit card. Failure to complete the course may result in a fine of up to 10,000 CZK.

Adaptation and integration courses are divided into public and private courses:

  • A public course can be attended at the Center for the Support of the Integration of Foreigners in the Ústí Region (where you can find more information, including scheduled course dates).
  • A private course is organized by an employer in cooperation with an integration center.

To attend the course, firstly you must register. Registration is done on the website: https://frs.gov.cz.

IMPORTANT! You cannot attend the course without prior registration.

A detailed guide on how to register for the course is available here: https://www.vitejtevcr.cz/cs/jak-se-prihlasit.

The adaptation and integration course lasts 4 hours and is led by a Czech instructor. The course is interpreted into selected languages: English, Arabic, French, Mongolian, Russian, Serbian, Spanish, Ukrainian, or Vietnamese.

Upon completing the course, you will receive a certificate as proof of your participation.
