The target group of the project are holders of temporary protection and other foreigners from third countries legally residing in the Czech Republic.
The aim of the project is to provide basic information to persons with temporary protection through the services of intercultural assistants, to help with the language barrier, e.g. between officials and the target group, and to help in orientation in a new environment. Thanks to these services, the risk of misunderstanding or misjudging the situation is minimised. Intercultural workers will assist in accompanying, assisting and interpreting at offices, schools, doctors’ appointments, etc. The target group can then be assisted in translating information materials into their mother tongue for better understanding.
Furthermore, the intercultural assistants will regularly monitor the needs and problems of the target group by regularly visiting hostels and large-scale accommodation facilities in the relevant locality, where they will also provide basic counselling or contacts to follow-up services.
