Brief Description:

The project focuses on the group of foreigners from third countries (immigrants and refugees) living in the Central Bohemian region, that are disadvantaged in the labour market. We will support overall 80 people form the target group.

The set of supporting activities will be implemented in four cycles that include:

  • Evaluation of motivation, working experience and qualification of every participant and creating of an individual plan for support and participation in the project
  • Implementation of a complex counselling programme
  • Implementation of supporting educational courses that are necessary for successful integration to the labour market (Czech language courses, labour minimum)
  • Individual psychological support
  •  Support in acquiring a job, including creation of a positive and open-minded environment in the labour market for employing of foreigners through talking directly to  employers

Project’s further help takes form of reimbursement of travel expenses for course and counselling’s participants and if necessary we will organize a babysitter for participants´ children.

Organized activities will support people disadvantaged in the labour market and help them find a legal job or an employment with higher qualification. Individual courses and consultations will support 80 foreigners overall.

Support for Application of Skills of Foreigners in Craft Professions in Ustecky Region

Brief description: The project introduces a set of complex measures that would expand employability of the target group – foreigners from third countries living in Ustecky region – in the Czech labour market; the project focuses primarily on craft profession and skills. Overall, there will be supported 90 people from the target group.

The set of support measures will take place in three stages (one stage will take 8 months) and they will include:

 - addressing the target group and introducing them into project activities,

 - intensive counselling programme that will focus on support while finding and starting a new job and on support while launching of a new self-employment in craft professions,

- courses of Czech language in extend of 40 hrs. that will pay more attention to advanced professional language and to communication in craft professions,

 - requalification in craft professions, - acquiring of an employment including a support in a form of salary contributions, - support of self-employed people in their first months of self-employment.

The project provides additional support in the form of reimbursement of travel expenses for the participants of courses and counselling and if necessary we will arrange a babysitter.

Implemented project activities will contribute to integration of socially excluded people into a labour market and they will create new jobs: in case of self-employed people there will be 10 new jobs created and 5 people will be supported in finding an employment in already created job positions.

Support of Employment and Self-Employment of Women from Traditional Muslim Communities Living in the Czech Republic

Brief Description:

Project focuses on support of women that are disadvantaged and endangered while entering the labour market, while finding an employment and while launching a self-employment. The target group of the project is very specific; the target group are long unemployed foreign women from traditional Muslim communities living in the Czech Republic.

The project’s goal is to offer to the Muslim women assistance while entering the labour market and the project will provide complex information service to the Muslim women and their husbands including labour law counselling. During the project participants will take part on a number of educational activities such as Czech courses, computer skills course and retraining courses. The women would improve their acquired skills and knowledge in training workshops that would be created solely for this purpose. The project includes intensive cooperation with employers, relevant bureaus, NGOs that work with foreigners and Muslim communities in the Czech Republic. The project partners will map effective methods of labour integration of Muslim women abroad. Subsequently, they will formulate their findings into recommendations for supporting of integration of the Muslim women from our target group into the labour market. The outcome of the project will be a publication “Brochure for Integration of Women from Traditional Muslim Communities into the Labour Market of the Czech Republic.”

Brief Description:

The project provides free services that will help to foreigners to integrate to all areas of the everyday life and improve their position in the Czech Republic. At the same time, however, the project preserves foreigners´ original cultural and historic identity; it presents foreign cultures and develops multiculturalism in the Czech society.

The main project goal is to expand the centre’s activities and its services; the centre will provide services to improve social, legal, language and cultural situation of foreigners. Among these activities belong social and legal counselling, Czech language courses, social-cultural orientation, lectures by professionals, workshops, discussions and educational events for public, information centre services, ethnic evenings and leisure activities for children and grownups. 


The services will be provided by the Counselling Centre for Integration in partnership with Regional office of the Ustecky region, the Magistrate of the City of Usti nad Labem and the Regional Directorate of the Foreign Police in Usti nad Labem and other institutions, organizations and communities that our organization has started to cooperate in past years with. The centre follows on a project of the same name that was implemented between 2009 – 2011 with the participation of the above-mentioned partners and other representatives of the local public including the Advisory Platform for Integration of Foreigners in the Ustecky region. 


The target group are 1) foreigners that are legally residing in the Ustecky region (except for applicants for asylum, refugees and people with additional protection) and are not citizens of the EU and 2) the local public.

Brief Description:Project contributes to easier rapprochement, mutual understanding and better tolerance in our society towards foreigners and contributes to diminishing of racial intolerance and xenophobia by inclusion of the Czech society into integration of foreigners. There was held multicultural festival Colourful Planet on 8 September 2012 in the Usti nad Labem Centre and two other ethnic events, which introduced culture, customs and lifestyle of foreigners, in the framework of the project to reach this goal.

Brief Description:
The project focuses on people that were granted asylum in the Czech Republic and that need to integrate to local society in the first six months after they moved to a new place of residence. The core of the project is to teach refugees to get better oriented in a new environment and help them overcome the initial uncertainty. To reach this goal the project offers social and legal counselling, assistance and help with communication with bureaus and state institutions mainly in the field of social welfare, medical attention, education and employment.

Brief Description:
Project focuses on integration of people that were granted asylum in the Czech Republic, to the Czech society. The essence of the project is to increase and improve the offer of integration accommodation in the framework of the State Integration Programme, since the offer does not suffice the demand at the time. The next goal of the project is to improve the awareness of towns´ and cities´ officials and of the general public about the situation and challenges of integration of foreigners in the issue of accommodation.

Brief Description:

The project “Integration Centre Prague” (ICP) follows on other ten regional integration centres that have been gradually established in the Czech Republic since 2009. Several NGOs that work with foreigners participate in implementation of this project. The main goal of the Centre is to contribute to successful integration of foreigners from the third countries to the Czech society in Prague.

Counselling Centre for Integration as a partner organization provides the foreigners living mainly in Prague 1, 4, 10, 11, 15 and 22 with legal and social counselling and Czech language courses. Moreover, part of the project are social-cultural orientation courses and work with foreign families.

 

 

Individual Courses of Czech Language for Children of Foreigners

Brief Description:

The project offers individual courses of the Czech language to 30 pupils – foreigners; the project focuses on pupils´ individual needs. Courses supposed to expand pupil’s language and general knowledge and take into consideration their cultural background, their working pace and other aspects that influence the progress and outcomes of their education. Pupils individually complete their knowledge of the Czech language so they can continue in their education at the level that is corresponding to their age. The emphasis is also put on improving the pupils´ self-confidence while using Czech as the new communication tool. The courses are thought either by teacher from the school that the pupil attends or by experienced tutors that have extensive experience with teaching the Czech language.

Brief Description:

The projects´ main goal is to introduce regular leisure activities for children and youth of foreigners, that would be implemented in Prague 4. The project will put into action leisure activities for 2 groups of children/youth: 


children in the age of 10 – 14, youth in the age of 15 – 18.


The specific goals of the leisure activities are:


- introduce children/youth of foreigners into social and cultural specifics of the Czech society,


- expand social skills of the children/youth


- integration of children/youth of foreigners into peer collectives that would also consist of children/youth from general population
